If you expire your Scratch-it the scratching page will remain living. However, the scratch-it itself will not be available to interact with. There are two different ways to expire a live Scratch-it:

You may expire your Scratch-it at anytime by clicking the status button of a published Scratch-it

You may also set your Scratch-it to expire on a given calendar date by clicking on the calendar icon on the set-up page within the scratching page builder.
Once a Scratch-it has been expired this action cannot be undone. However, you can always clone the Scratch-it and republish an identical version with a different url.
